Creamy Garlic Shrimp
Lusciously Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp in Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions:
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and add olive oil.
Add the shrimp and sear for 1–2 minutes on each side until just pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Simmer for another 1–2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
